Richard was the founder and CEO of 70 Million Jobs and 70 Million Staffing. Before launching 70 Million Jobs, Richard served as Director of Defy Ventures, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing incarcerated men and women second chances upon release. Before that, he was a co-founder of the popular nostalgia website, DoYouRemember.com. His career began on Wall Street, where he managed money at Lehman Bros. and Bear Stearns. He eventually went on to found Biltmore Securities, a registered broker-dealer based in South Florida. Richard grew Biltmore to nearly 500 employees and took many companies public. After Biltmore, Richard founded Channels Magazine and launched several successful consumer product and service businesses. Richard was convicted of securities fraud in 2002, arising from his activities in the 1990s and served two years in a Federal prison camp.
Seth is a California Bay Area native, a former NBA basketball player, a former branch manager of a national mortgage company and a former inmate in a federal prison. He was incarcerated for tax fraud and served 5 years for his offense, and is now committed to making the transition back into society better for other formerly incarcerated men and women.
Adrienne served as Community Outreach Manager for 70 Million Jobs, where she oversaw community organization and government partnerships, and facilitated reentry partnership projects in over 30 states. After graduating from the University ofCalifornia Berkeley in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric, she worked in Corporate Law at Clerkin Lynch Solicitors in Dublin, Ireland on the largest litigation case in the country’s history. Previously, she created and co-facilitated a UC Berkeley course on topical news in the modern media and worked as an Editing Intern at Red Arrow Media Group.
Joel Parker Hendersonjoelhenderson
Prior to 70 Million Jobs, Joel was the Founder and CTO of SixArm.com. Before that, he worked as a technical engineering and software consultant for a variety of companies including ThoughtWorks, University of California, Menlo Ventures, and Omine.io. His career began at the software startup, NetDynamics which he helped grow from 22 employees to 200, before it was purchased by Sun Microsystems for $200m.
Briana is a writer who values creativity and community. She attended the University of Missouri for her BA and earned her MFA at Roosevelt University in Chicago. She has since settledinto life in Chicago, a city she has always considered a second home. Briana formerly worked as a Content Specialist at Groupon, then transitioned to a remote freelance writing role with a company called CopyPress. She serves her south side community by dedicating time and hands-on work as a marketing/PR board member of #TheTakeBack, an organization that promotes peaceful interactions through anti-violence initiatives. In her free time, Briana can be found reading, catching up on her shows, or enjoying fresh air by the lake.
Professionally known in the music industry as DIVINE, Victor Lombard is an entrepreneur, former CEO and founder of a fintech startup. He’s a graduate of Village Capital, an entrepreneurship and startup building accelerator program, and holds a Udacity Nanodegree in Digital Marketing. He is also a system impacted individual (coming from a socially and economically disadvantaged background and being formerly incarcerated). Most recently DIVINE served as the Director of Operations for Black Lives Matter RI (Rhode Island) where he focused on communications and strategy and was responsible for the organization's legal setup, processes implementation, branding, web design and development, digital marketing, and social media setup and management.
Chris is a software architect and developer with fifteen years of commercial experience working for software-powered startups at all levels. Prior to 70 Million Jobs, he was the technical co-founder of a travel payment startup within Y-Combinator.
Amanda has worked in the non-profit sector, education, food, and digital marketing. She was the Communications Manager for (Food Oasis LA) Hack for LA; and is the founder of Earth Made Kitchen, where she teaches online cooking classes. She has also worked at Canada Learning Code, iD Tech Camps and the Toronto International Film Festival. Amanda has a passion for volunteer work, cooking and travel, and helps run social media and digital marketing campaigns at Commissary Club.
Katie Powers is a journalist and content writer based in Illinois. Her work has appeared in Marketing News, Supermajority News, and the Chicago Reader. Katie is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she studied Creative Writing and Political Science. She is currently working on social media, digital marketing campaigns, and content creation at Commissary Club.
Robin headed up 70 Million Jobs’ HR department. She is a nearly 20-year human resources veteran. For the past 17 years, she served as vice president of human resources at Ovation Travel, a large corporate travel company. Before that, she served as Executive Director of the Private Client Division of CIBC.
